In this short scene, the monster tells the audience that he is ready to die, even if he can't cut a meteor. He tells us that he has waited 400 years to be able to kill a girl. He says that now that he can kill her, she will be his new body. He wishes that he could have killed her when she was a baby, but he didn't want to because she was too precious to be killed by a dragon. Now, he says, she is his property and he can do with her as he pleases.
