The gang continues to pull away from the island, wondering why Natsu didn't just melt the rocks with his fire. They're also wondering why Zeref hasn't been captured yet. They have to find a way to get to the grave of Mavis, the first Master of Fairy Tale, and they need to figure out how to get there. They can ask Carla and Lily to do it, and then they'll be able to test the waters and see if they can change the world. Carla says that he'll pass the test and become the true King of the island. He'll also be the first person to reach the grave, and he's going to be the one who changes the world for the better. He wonders who she is, and wonders if she's the Grimoire Heart. He says that only three of his seven kin are still alive, and that he can't bear to let his body atrophy. He also wonders if the children of the Master of the Island will come to visit him. He doesn't want to go out, because he feels like if one of them goes down, everything will descend into chaos. He wants to stay, because only four of seven of his kin are left. He thinks that Zeref took part in the communiqués with him, and the rest of the gang is too scared to fight against them. They need to clean up the island before Zeref is taken out, so they won't be fighting against the council of one puny guild.
