When the treasure hunters arrive, they find that the village is covered in ice, and the buildings are covered with it. The ice reminds them of Deliora's house, and they decide to melt it with their fire. The treasure hunters, however, are not interested in the "eternal flame" thing. They are interested in getting their hands on the potion that contains the moon's secret. If they can get it, they will be able to free the villagers. They claim that the flame is the "guard" for the village, and if they can break it to them, they can turn it back to normal.
