About This Chapter
Chapter 466 opens with a soliloquy by King Lear, in which he says that he has no choice but to kill anyone who tries to stop him. He tells Lear that he will always be his friend, and that if he kills him, he will be friends with him. Lear tells the king that he is glad that he did not destroy the town of Hargeon, which was not his target. He says that the mermaid is humiliated by the king's humiliation, and so he does not want to harm her. He adds that there are about two thousand people between them and the town, and there is still some who have not disembarked yet. Lear says that they will not permit the invasion of the town by alvarez, and they will now begin their mission to liberate the town. He asks the northern fiore if they are the ones who attacked the city of Bosco, and the eastern fiore is asking if he is the one who is killing everyone. He replies that it was not him, but Jacob, and himself that attacked the country, and he asks why they defiled the land of their birth. He compares the two men to the "king of all magic" and the "master of the art of magic assassination" , and asks them why they treat him like a slave
