In this chapter, we are introduced to the protagonist's father, Hiroyuki, and his son, Natsu. Hiroyuki tells his son that he is not a member of the guild, and that he will not fight anyone in the guild. He also tells him that his fight is with Natsu, not with anyone else. The father tells him not to worry, because he will never be near him again. He tells him to stay out of the fight, and Hiroyuki agrees. He asks his son if he would like to leave peacefully, and the father says that he would, but that it would tarnish the guild's reputation. He says that the guild members have become too passionate to stop fighting, and he hopes that his son can respond in an adult manner. He apologizes for leaving him there, and says that they will finish the fight at the magic games in a dramatic fashion.
