The chapter opens with a flashback to the beginning of the previous chapter, in which we learn that the protagonist is a young girl who has come to live in the fairy-tale town of Milady. Milady is a small town in the south of France, and the protagonist's father is a powerful wizard. The protagonist, however, is not a wizard, and he is not allowed to enter the town because he is a member of the Milady guild. He does not want to be a part of the "battle of the fairy tail" , a duel between two of the town's most powerful men. The chapter ends with a description of the battle, which is being fought between Milady's tribe and the "raijin tribe" .
