Chapter 6 begins with the invasion of the mansion. The group is happy to be there, but they're not planning on going on a rampage. They're just looking for the authority in the town. They don't want to be seen, so they just want to burn the book. They find a dirty picture of a dirty man, and they wonder what's wrong with it. They also find that the author of the book was a practicing wizard, and he was also an author. The book is a "cultural legacy," and they can't burn it. The only thing they can do is keep it, and then they'll be able to say that they burned it because they were after the guy they found the book for. The guy they find is a member of the southern wolf guild, which is supposed to vanish brothers. They kill the brothers, and get the book back. The chapter ends with a soliloquy by the group's leader. He says that the group is facing off against a pair of members of the wolf guild. He compares them to a celestial wizard and a fire wizard.
