The next morning, the gang wakes up to find Nemo's tail in a bad shape. He's been sleeping through the night, which means he ate some etherion, which is a kind of poison. Nemo says he doesn't know what happened to his body back then, but he's grateful to have been alive. Ertz asks if Nemo is still asleep, and Nemo replies that he is. He also says that Ertz is a lot different than the other person who ate poison, because Ertz ate something that was poisonous. He says Ertz's a "predator" and a "food chain fool" , and that Nemo is a "chain fool" who's not allowed to meddle or even come to the rescue. He tells Ertz that Nemo will eventually meet up with Ertz, and he hopes that they don't interfere with humans, because they can't do anything to affect matters. He asks Ertz to forgive him, and Ertz says that he feels sorry for Ertz because he was threatened by Jellal, and it's now time for them all to move forward. They all agree that Nemo has gotten stronger, but Ertz wonders how he could have gotten so strong. He wonders if the one who stopped the tower from going up was Jeloval himself, and if he could restore Nemo to normal.
