About This Chapter
In this short scene, we are introduced to a number of characters who have recently returned from the Crusades. The first person we meet is a young man who has just returned from a trip to the Holy Land. He tells us that he is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, and that he has come to seek refuge with his family in Jerusalem. He asks us to imagine what it must be like to be a Muslim in Jerusalem, and to imagine how it feels to be separated from your family and friends. He also tells us how it is like to live in a small town in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by people who do not speak your language. He then tells us the story of how he and his family came to Jerusalem, where they were separated from their families and friends, and how they were forced to leave their homes and live among the people who did not speak their language. When they arrived at the city, they were greeted by a large crowd, and they were told that they were welcome to come and stay with them. They also told them that they would be allowed to stay for free if they agreed to return to their families. The young man, however, does not agree with this plan, and so he leaves the city and returns to Jerusalem.
