In Chapter 372, we find out that mira and the elfman have been captured, and that they are in the laboratory, two levels above the castle. We also learn that the wizard's wards have been removed from the castle and that the castle has been taken over by the wizard. The wizard tells us that his ultimate goal is to eliminate the continent's magic. He says that if the wizard were to use a different method, he would be able to eliminate all magic in the continent. He also says that this will allow the wizard to return to the book of Zeref, where he says that he is the author's words, made flesh. The chapter ends with the wizard saying that he will clean up his own mess.
