In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character, a young man named Graysama. He is the son of a maker wizard, and he has a special fondness for his mother, who is also a maker. He tells his mother that he will beat her with ice if she tries to force him to do so. He also tells her that he can move anything through time, at will, and that his magic will bring her down with it.
