The chapter opens with a description of the two groups of hunters. The first group is called the "sword tooth" and is led by a young man named "Sting eucliffe" . He is a member of a saber tooth guild, which is the strongest guild in the world. He has teamed up with a fellow member named "rogue" , who is a twin dragon swashbuckler. Both are dragon slayers, and both are known as twin dragons. He was raised by a white dragon named "Weisslovia" who taught him sword magic. He became a leader of the "dragon slayers" after defeating "Natsu" in the grand tournament. He tells the group that they can rescue the giants from the village by using the "drip" that they have found. He also tells them that they are treasure hunters and that they will take down anyone who tries to get in their way. He then tells them they are all in a "dangerous business" and they should peep if they let "stupid wizards" treat them like "crap". He tells them to shoot at them if they want to fight. They do so, and he tells them he is their "spirit" for sniping at them. He says he is a "genius sniper" and that he will not go down easily. He asks what happened to the village before it froze. He wonders if the villagers worshipped the "eternal flame" as a guardian of the village, or if they were protecting it from an outside enemy. He concludes that even if he could find the flame he would not be able to return the village back to normal.
