This chapter opens with a flashback to the beginning of the previous chapter. The flashback shows that the master of the Seven Kin is still alive, but he has lost consciousness and is unable to communicate with the others. He is wearing a black scarf that has been dyed with evil, and he has no idea who made it. He realizes that the scarf was made by a black haired man, and that the evil is blocking his ability to heal the master. He also realizes that he is searching for the grimoire heart, the one who is looking for him. He tells the others to stop their attack on the island and to leave now, because he does not want to see another war or death. He says that he will not do anything in the age of zeref, but that he does intend to do nothing in this age. He asks if this is what they meant when they said that he was asleep, and then he asks if it is the same thing that they said when he was turning to the stone thing of hiss, and so on. He then asks if the fairy gun is green or not, and finally he says that the boy over there is wearing glasses, which means he is not a lover. He adds that he has seen the truth behind the magic, but the people who use the jet-black blade that cuts asunder are scum. He explains that his magic has a strong side, but because of that, it has a catastrophic fate. However, the moment that he hands over the reins of the seven-kin, the catastrophe will end, and the new age will begin. He predicts that those who do not use magic will find their selves in hell.
