The chapter opens with a description of a character named "Reedus jonah," who is a member of the team that has been missing for seven years. He is a painter who loves to paint pictures. He also loves to use his magic to transform himself into other people. He tells the story of how he used to be a giant man, but his spell wore off and now he is a trim figure. He says that the team likes him because he is one of ten "wizards" . He hopes that he will be able to use the girls' room, but he worries that jellal will not give himself up. He asks the girls if they will be okay, but they say that they will not be. He then tells them that he is going to win the battle. He compares the battle to a dance of purgatory, in which the dancers dance around a circle of water. He thinks that this is a reference to the three-layers of magic that mystogan used to create the illusion of a rock wall. He believes that the spirit of jura is the one who created the illusion, and he says that she will finish him off with a meteor shower. He wonders if they can also do the same thing, but says that they can't because they are too quick to let pride take control of them.
