In this chapter, we learn that the members of the fairy tail have won the magic games. The mayor of the town of magnolia wants to present the guild with a gift to mark the occasion, but the members refuse to step forward, saying that they are not allowed to do so. In response, the mayor says that he loves the town, and that he knew the guild would be watching the games. He tells the group that he has decided on his place to die, and he has been watching the ends of each age for hundreds of years. He has seen wars of men, their hatred, and the evil in the human race. He predicts that humans will die in the coming age, but he does not know how. He says that the humans will not be able to live in the true sense of the word, as the humans have not been living up to their true potential.
