In this chapter, we learn more about the relationship between the two main characters. First, we're told that the main problem is that the tumor in the heart of Natsu is too big for his magic to treat. Also, it's clear that the two of them don't know each other, which explains why they're in such a bad mood. Also... there's a lot of smoke coming from Natsu's chest. It's not clear what's going on, but it sounds like something's wrong with him. He's cold, so he should wake up. He says he's inside his heart, and that he'll die soon. He also says that as long as he and Natsu are here, he gives him permission to call him his "big brother." He tells us that he and his family were living peacefully when a dragon attacked. They were all killed, but he managed to learn how to fight the dragon and bring them back to life. He calls them his "final demon" and says that they've been talking about this for a long time. We learn that he was entrusted with the task of bringing back the dead, but that it seems that his memories of the time are vague. He remembers meeting Gajeel and another child, who were about the age of they were. They looked up to both of them, and they would get together a couple of times a year. They brought them with them, but neither of them remembers that they actually remember it. So, it seems like something is wrong with Natsu. He can't find out what it is that's bothering him so much. He wants to know what the heck is going on. The smell of his body reminds him of something, and he starts to panic. He doesn't even know what to do with himself.
