In this chapter, we get a brief description of what happens to the family after the big explosion. We learn that the father and son have been separated from each other, and that they are now living in a different part of the city. The father tells his son that he is safe, and the son tells him that he has been sucked into a "wall" and that he now needs to find the "perfect opportunity" to "take revenge" on his father. The son tells his father that they have destroyed the town's symbol, the cathedral, and even the master. He wonders where the master is, and wonders if the underworld king told them that they should proceed with their face-planting mission. He has been able to spot two thousand faces so far, and he wonders how they could have been so far apart.
