The group was gone for some time, and the protagonist was hurt by the lack of interest in the group. He tells his friends that he has no interest in "the old generations" , since they are "late + bad / juvenile nights friends / delinquent this town". The protagonist asks his friends if they know of a contest that will take place at midnight. The contest will consist of a race in which the first eight guilds will advance to the final round of the tournament. He explains that the contest is a way for the protagonist to become the top guild in the town.
