The chapter opens with a description of the main character, a young man named Nemo. Nemo is a member of the Lamia Scale guild, a group of ten best wizards in the world. He is also known as Iron Rock, because he can change sand into iron. Nemo's favorite thing to do is eat green peas, which he accidentally drops into his mouth when he was a kid. Nemo tells us that he's a big brother to his big brother, Gato. Gato tells Nemo that they're not as bad as they think they are. Nemo says that Jellal saved his life, but he doesn't believe him. He tells Gato to hurry up and bring him back. He's not a bad guy, he says, and he'd rather die than be revived. Nemo asks Gato where the base of his army is, and Gato says that it's somewhere in the west. He says that the ancients sent the people there to kill them, and that they have given them a clue as to the location of the enemy's base. Nemo wants to know what's going on, but Gato refuses to tell him. Instead, he tells Nemo to go back to the west and kill the enemy.
