About This Chapter
This chapter's epigraph comes from the famous poem "Song of Solomon" by Shmoop. It's a poem in which Solomon says, "I'm not afraid of getting my ass kicked. I'm just afraid of what will happen to me in the afterlife." Solomon responds by saying that he's not afraid. He's just afraid that if he loses, he'll be kicked out of heaven. He also says that he is the one who's challenging Si Ming--he's been nominated by God to be a part of God's inner circle, and he wants to prove his abilities against Si Ming. Si Ming replies that he doesn't think so. He says that God has already recommended Si Ming to be one of the thirteen palaces in the inner circle of God, so if he defeats Si Ming, it will be Si Ming's chance to prove himself against the best in the world. He adds that even if Si Ming is from another part of the world, he still needs to be nominated to be in the Inner Circle of God because God wants him to be the leader of the elite group of warriors in Heaven's Celestial Realm. He explains that he has two main weapons: the first is a divine tier weapon, a sword of great lands, which Si Ming will use instead of the divine tier sword of the Great Land. The other weapon is the fourth--the "rule of wind" .
