About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the giant skulls are symbolic of the ancients, and that they represent the "ultimate existence" of the giant race. In other words, the skulls are a symbol of the ultimate existence of the race. We learn that this is because the fantasy battlefield was created by the "will of the heavens," and its memory will contain all of the civilizations that have ever existed in the past. This means that all the civilizations of the past, including those that have not yet appeared in the future, will appear on the battlefield in turn. We also learn that a tablet that allows the reader to move from one world to another was found in the temple of the ten thousand Buddhas. This tablet allows him to travel between worlds. He wonders what the reward is on top of the tree. He can use the purple light to tell the direction he is going in, but it seems that he is not getting closer to it. He notices that his heartbeat is getting louder when he is farther away from the skulls. He thinks that they are the keys to solving the mysteries of the universe.
