This chapter's epigraph is from a famous poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. It's about a guy who's been stuck in a dungeon for a long time, and he's finally ready to get out of there. He wants to go back to the Tower of Sins, but the guards won't let him. He's got only one shot at killing the guy, and that's against Cui-xie. The first half of Star Armor included eight skills, but only one of them is called "star quake." Star quake is basically punching a fist full of starlight out of your fist. That's pretty easy to learn, but it doesn't have much effect on the guy who owns the tower of sin. The second skill, "starqake," is a lot more powerful than starquake, but you can only learn it after you've bonded with a second star. This is the first time that we've seen this kind of power in action, so it's kind of a big deal. The two guards die, and the sky turns dark
