In this chapter, the azure dragon explains that he has lit up all of the dragon scales, and that he will use the power of these scales to crack the golden leaf. He is amazed at how Linxing managed to crack a golden leaf and obtain the black-star pickax. The azure dragon wonders if this is the "ultimate divine weapon" that Linxing claims it is, and he wonders if it can only be used by those who have royal blood. He also wonders if the pickax can be used only by those with "royal blood" . He says that he knows how to use it, but that he cannot use it because he is blocking the outside world with his blood. In order to become the owner of this pickax, he needs to draw three upside down patterns of god, which are the "meditation patterns" that he used while he was practicing. He explains that these three patterns are the ones he used when he was meditating, and they are the same ones he uses when he is practicing the black star picksax. He adds that using this method, he can exclude "outsiders" who do not know the patterns of gods of the genuine dragon clan. He hopes that he can use it in battle.
