The next morning, Gu Qingyang wakes up in the middle of the night to find that his demon lieutenant, Luo zheng, has defeated him once again. He's so depressed that he can barely move an inch. He can't believe that a demon like him could possibly be so weak. He also realizes that he's going to have to use his killing move, which he usually doesn't do because of its negative effect on his health, to get rid of the demon lieutenant. Gu says that even a warrior from the eleventh-level couldn't possibly defeat him, and that's why he has to kill him now. He says that according to the Tower of Sins, warriors from the upper levels can enter the lower levels but not the arena, so if a cultivator from the tenth-level can go back and defeat an opponent from the ninth-level, then everyone can do the same thing. Gu points out that he has the right, as a warrior, to challenge Luo-zheng.
