Now that Yudie is awake, everyone is worried about him. He's been comatose for a month, and now he's got some new marks on his soul. Yudie tells him that the Emperor's mark is gone, but the light golden swords are still there. He wonders why they're there, and wonders if his soul and emotions are drifting away from him. In order to cultivate the "way of emotion-less godhood," Yudie says, he needs to "ethence" his soul, which means "swoop." In other words, he can't just rely on his malefic aura. He needs to sever all of his emotions, and that's what the golden swords can do. Now that he knows how to "concentrate the will" of a sword, he realizes that he can "become the sword" .
