In the midst of the battle, Fang and his companions find themselves in the middle of a giant chasm. Fang is worried about his companions' safety, but he is also worried about the safety of the giant slayer-puppet, which he believes to be made of violet iron. Fang tries to pry open the gap in the wall, but the puppet will not let him in. He is certain that he will die if he does not do something soon.
