The pilgrims are up on the platform, and they're yelling at each other to kneel and apologize for their sins. They don't want to fight, so they just raise a ruckus. They're not fighting, they just want to be seen as enemies. This is called the "judgement of faith" , and it's like being a world lord, but with a lot more power. Ren is amazed at how strong the judgment of faith is. He wonders if there's a way to restore the memories of the past lords.
