The alchemist says that even a broken sword can be transformed into a true god. He also says that the life-confusing elixir is excellent for removing doubts. He says that he cannot use the virtuous soul elixir because it is too low in value. He wonders if it will help him in the later trials of the road. He finally gets the token of "qian." He is worried that if he receives the "kun," things will be too difficult for him. He is afraid that the last part on the road will be more difficult. This is a soul-shocking mastiff. The bark of the mastiff can destroy evil spirits. It also drowns even true gods. He tells the master that he can let him go, but only if he kills three lower-ranking gods.
