He decides to form a group of nocturnals to hunt some beasts in the plains. He realizes that the fantasy battlefield of the previous chapter is still alive and well. He wants to go to the northern gate of the treant forest to rescue the two trapped nocturnals. He fears that they will be attacked by the treants.
