In this chapter, the "child of heavens" explains to the "heavenlord illusion" why he has challenged the "gods" of the universe to a duel. The child of heaven tells the old man that he will see him in 20 days, and that the odds are "too low" for the duel to succeed. The old man tells the child of heavens that he wants to delay the duel as long as possible, so that he can prepare for the battle. He also says that since he last proposed to reshape the body of the true dragon, he has assigned people to do so.
