This chapter begins with the captain and his men preparing to clear out the nest of the reaper bugs that have fled to the forest. The captain tells his men to block the nest with their shields, stab with their spears, and shoot with their bows. He then tells them to use their throwing knives to kill the bug leaders. He tells them that the leader's core is equal to one point and that his body is a tier weapon, so he is not afraid of the poison. He also tells his brother zheng that the way he controlled his throwing knife was impressive. Everyone is shocked to learn that the bug queen has returned to her nest. They retreat, but the captain tells them not to worry, because the queen has enlightened realm. He says that he will lure the queen away and lead them to a safe place. He asks zheng to come back, but zheng says that it is too dangerous for him to do so since he has just paid for the doublet's favor. It looks like the queen couldn't get in.
