About This Chapter
After the battle, the saint race was turned into insect-like monsters. The narrator wants to know why the city is called "Fenying City" . He asks if everyone has failed in their quest to find the tablet. Senior replies that the bodies of the saints are in the tablet, so their souls are trapped there permanently. He tells the narrator that the saints only remain in the world because they are "obsessions from remnant souls." The narrator thanks Senior for protecting the "last hope of the Saint Race." He says that the tablet is "beyond human limits" and that he will carry the saints forward with their "dreams of revival." Worried that the ground is about to collapse, the narrator asks if the young lady has been killed. He guesses that she may have been rescued by someone, but he is sure that she is alive. He feels that he can rely on Senior because he saved his life.
