About This Chapter
In this short scene, Oswald and the others try to get rid of the vampire, but Oswald refuses to let them do so. He tells Oswald that the vampire is a remnant of the darkness that used to exist in the neighborhood. He says that the other vampire tried to get the girl back, but she was not with them, so they took her and put her in their care. Oswald says that he will take the vampire back, and he promises to let him live. Oswald asks what happened to the neighborhood, and Oswald replies that he took out the "load" of the vampires, but that he only remembers a small part of it, and then he burned it up. Oswald tells the officer to go home, but the officer refuses, saying that he is being pulled over because he is black. Oswald responds that he does not need to see the officer's license and registration, as he can go about his business. He asks the officer why he did not make Oswald cluck like "a chicken" because that is not why they are here, and the officer replies that they need to find "sara pezzini"
