About This Chapter
In this chapter, Scott opens up about the new look of the book, which he describes as being more "bold and easier to read" and "more easily digestible" . He also talks about how he likes to open the book with a "tracking shot" , which is basically a shot of the protagonist's body in front of the reader. He says this is a great way to get the reader interested in the story and to tease them into coming back to read the rest of the story. In other words, he's trying to make the reader want to come back and read the book. He's also trying to draw the reader in to the story by making them look at the naked women on the cover . That's how he started writing the book when he first took over writing it back in April of last year. He describes the panels on the pages as "reverse angles" of one another, which makes the characters more realistic. He adds that this kind of detail also lends the book "more realism" when it has "supernatural aspects " . Scott says that he tends to write "denser scripts" for the book because it's "a crime / comic noir" with a lot of supernatural elements . It needs a different kind of storytelling than "a huge cosmic battle" or "teams of superheroes" or supervillains tearing the landscape up .
