"True Confessions" In this chapter, we learn that the man in the police station thinks that he's seen a rape and murder scene in a recent music video. The cop tells the man that he has a chance to confess to the crime, but he needs to hurry up and get some food. He tells the cop that he will be in the courtroom when the jury hears about the crime. He also tells the guy that found keisha that he is going to be in jail with a four-hundred-pound brother named Leon, who wants him to be his "special friend." The cop says that Leon's brother is in the administration of the prison, so he'll be able to whip up on him some. He says that if the cop doesn't pay attention to what's going on around him, then he needs some practice. He warns the cop to make sure that he gets locked up with Leon, because Leon is the brother of one of the officers who found the body of the murdered girl, and he wants to be the cop's friend. When the cop tells him that everyone in the room knows that he raped and killed the girl, the cop says, "I'm just like a meal, not a snack" . He then says that the girl is crying because she's not going to admit that she did it, and that he can let Leon go if he wants. He asks the cop what he means, and the cop replies, "What do you mean, stop it" , and then the cop asks if the girl was crying for help, and if she was, what was she doing there? The cop replies that she wasn't crying, but that she was "for better or worse," and that the cop should write up the confession. He thanks the cop for doing such a good job, and says that he still thinks that they should talk about work a lot more often.
