In this chapter, we learn that we're back in London, where we met with David and his wife, christina. They're in the middle of a business trip, and they've just had an "abnormal" experience while they're sleeping. David wakes up to find that his glove has "changed before his eyes" as if it doesn't want him to see it. He tells his wife that he's sorry he can't come back to the hotel, but she'll have to take care of him. David tells her that the card he got from Mr. Afzali is begging him to call and see if he can find out anything about Mr. Stallings. He's been looking forward to seeing what he can do about it, but he can tell that she's too busy to do anything about it. David says that he gave her the gift of power so that she could do whatever she wanted with it, and that she was too busy using it to ruin his plan. He blames her for ruining his plan, and says that she should be thanked for being so kind to him. He also tells her about a new fashion line that's just been launched in London. It's called the "new die form line" , and it's a line of clothes that looks just like the clothes from the old days. David is impressed with the new clothes, and he'd like to visit the company's new office. He wants to know how long it'll take him to get there, and if he'll be able to meet with Sara. He says that they'll meet at one o'clock in the morning, and then they can meet again at 2 p.m.
