He tells them that he has been fired from his job and that he is going to have to "eat the whole box" by himself. He asks them to show him where their offices are, and they show him all the unsolved cases that they have found in the city. They also show him the jewelry they have brought with them, and he is happy to see them. He introduces himself as a detective and says that they are "someone and you special" , and that they too have confessed to killing a woman. He warns them not to interfere with him in his work, as he is among the youngest detectives in the department.
