The next morning, the gang meets up with Carin, who's been waiting for them at the police station. They're all excited to see each other, since they're both super-excited to be back in the big city. Carin's excited because she's going to be able to help the gang figure out what happened to the baby. The gang teases Carin about how he's super-fast on the jump jet, but he doesn't really care. He's just happy to see his friends. He also wants to know why the cops sent him back to the city so late at night. He thinks it's a good idea to keep Carin around, since she'll help them track down the baby's whereabouts. He wants to be friendly with his friends, too, so he asks Carin to untie him from his chair so he can kiss his "ass." Carin is all, "I'd like to kiss your ass, you old-school son of a bitch . . now where are they?" Translation: "Where are they? . all those stories were true ! . angelus warriors, so ... . you scarce, butch, not you make them interested in." The gang is psyched to have Carin back, but Carin isn't interested in being friends with them. He just wants to help them find a new host. He tells the gang that they'll all help him find that new host, and he hopes they all get along well. He adds that they don't get along so well that he can't figure out how they can work together. He says he'll try to figure out a way to get along with them all.
