The new sheriff of Saratoga County, New York, announces that no one has seen or heard of the murder of Sara and the shooting of the sheriff's office. He tells the mayor and the acting sheriff that he's in charge of the situation and that everything is going according to plan. He thanks the mayor for coming to the scene of the crime and says that he doesn't want to be in control of "the witchblade" like he needs to be. He says that Jacky Estacado is dead and that there's nothing left of the "reliquary." The mayor and acting sheriff argue about whether or not the new sheriff has solved the case yet. The mayor says that the evidence points to the murder and that the sheriff deserves to be the hero of the night. The acting sheriff says that it was he who drew the murder to this location because of him. He asks the mayor what his bidding is.
