About This Chapter
"War of the Witchblades" is the title of this chapter's epigraph. It's a reference to the battle between the angelus and the witch-blades, and it's one of the most famous lines in all of literature. In this chapter, we find out that the battle is actually a war between the angels and the witches. The angelus is trying to kill the witch, but the witch is still alive, so they're going to have to kill both of them. The witch is unconscious, but she's not going to be killed. She'll be able to see the angels as saviors, which means they'll have to choose between the two of them, and she'll choose the one that's going to kill her. The two of you are going to choose which one of you is going to get the sword, and the one with the sword will be the one who gets to take the sword away from the witch. This is the first time we've heard of this, so we're not sure what to make of it. We're also not sure if this is a foreshadowing of what's to come in the next chapter.
