In this chapter, we meet David, who has just returned from a trip to the White House. He's bummed that his dad is dead, but he can't stop thinking about the white wedding he saw earlier in the day. He wants to know why he's acting the way he is. He tells us that he was told his dad was hiding something when he was 11 years old, and that's why he was acting like this. He also says that the witchblade is not going to fight with the wielder of the blade, so they're going to have to go back to Italy. David tells his friend that he doesn't care what happens to his dad, because he'll finish the job he started. He says that he has the ability to do things "that are supernatural" , and he wants to finish his job. He asks his friend to leave Sara alone, but she refuses, saying that it's all about keeping secrets. David says that this isn't the first time he has used the magic bullet, but that he hasn't noticed it before. He wonders if the stones are actually interacting with him, and wonders if he needs to control her. He hopes that she has fun with the killer, because things will change for her.
