About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that Sara and David have been at war for a long time. Sara's daughter was born out of wedlock, and she found out that the father was the darkness, not the light. Sara refused to let this happen, and they both became part of the "witchblade" . David tells us that he's sorry that he couldn't attend Jaques' funeral, but that he knows a whole lot about the case. The next day, the same detective called, and the same crime scene was found. He's glad that he was able to come to the funeral, because the next day's case is the same case as the one the day before. The crime scene isn't very impressive, but it's an "auxiliary spur" , which means that the crime scene wasn't actually a murder scene at all. It's more like a torture scene, where the murderer was hanged upside down and the victim was stabbed with a spear.
