About This Chapter
In this chapter, Tim sees that he has spent most of his time chasing down the witchblade, the darkness, and "mutant clones" of the witch. He decides to go for a walk on the roof of his apartment building to get some perspective. It's not going to make his job any easier, he says, but it will help him to "get above it all" and "get some perspective" . It smells nice, and it's "likely to at least" be a metaphor for his life. He tells his friends that the dock club is "just atrocious" and that he just loves "aries men." He tells them that he got a "thing" for the "hipster chicks" and tells them to "remain quiet" because "all pent-up aggression and testosterone" is going on around them. He says that he knows the truth, and that the "scent of blooms" is "made of fire." The witchblade is "pulling in" to protect him, but he says he beat her "I saved some lives" , but she got what she wanted. He plans to get "hunted down" with "heh . . the therapeutic writing assignment" from "shawn culler" at the state prison in statesville, North Carolina. He remembers the night "real clear" when they went to his house. They roll into his house about 5, and all his friends are being "escorted out" and one white cop is "pries the bar" from his hand . He thinks he said something, and he thinks it was "hot" about how this doesn't make any sense. He heads to prison, then to "foster homes" and he gets letters from "booby" telling him what he should take from the "Aswang" and what he shouldn't take from "him."
