About This Chapter
The sheriff of upstate New York is looking for the third body in three weeks, but he is interrupted by the mayor, who wants to know where the head is. The sheriff tells the mayor that the head did not walk away on its own, but was found before the mayor arrived. The mayor asks the sheriff to get his finger out of his face, but the sheriff says that he is a public servant who was elected to do the people's will, and that he will stick his finger up his ass if the mayor wants him to do something. He asks the mayor to get a press release out about the three bodies, and the mayor responds that he has seen the head before, and if it is his, it must belong to him. The man asks if there is someone else he can put the head on, and he says that one of his last boyfriends died of a broken heart. The woman asks him if he wants to be her boyfriend for the rest of the day, and when he says no, she asks him to kill her. He tells her that he wants her to help him get rid of the whole thing, and she says that she does not want to be a part of it, but that she will help him. He says that there is no hard evidence linking the three murders together, but there are no footprints, so he is buying if he is flying.
