About This Chapter
In this chapter, the police detectives discuss the case of the missing pez-dispenser. They've had a rough week, but they're confident that they've caught the killer. They have a painting of hell by Hieronymus Bosch hanging in the room, and they'd like to know why they haven't been able to catch the "impossible killer" yet. The detectives explain that this is a "geographically stable serial killer" , and that no other serial killer has ever been caught in the same area as this one. They also point out that this guy is probably a pervert, not a serial killer. Finally, the detectives head back to the apartment to see if they can find any clues that might lead them to the killer's hideout. They find that the pez dispenser hasn't turned up, so the detective goes back to check it out. The detective tells the detectives that they have been waiting for them all along, and now that they know where they are, they can play a game with them.
