Long's mother comes looking for her son-in-law, and she tells Long that he's humiliated her daughter so badly that she's come looking for him. Long says that he still hasn't placed his soul in the afterlife yet, and that he doesn't want to kill her either. Long tells her that she has two choices: first, marry Long, or she can ask Long as her master. Long thinks that's a bad idea, since Long already has a wife, and since Long is such a good match for Long, she should ask Long first.
