This chapter opens with the thunder god absorbing the energy of his sword. He explains that he can do this by allowing one demon spirit to enter at a time and then absorbing it. He also allows two demon spirits to enter his soul realm at the same time. The thunder god has practiced this technique many times, but he has never been able to use it on anyone. He has built a sacred border around the city in order to keep the sword's murderous aura away from the city. He hears the sound of someone moving out of the city, and he can't figure out who it is.
