This chapter's epigraph comes from a conversation between Sikong and Ren. Sikong tells Ren that he has never thought that he would be fighting in such a large city. Ren tells him that it's better than glory city, but that he's not going to help Duan-Jian because he'll have to handle it on his own. Ren says that he can sense an aura of power in the prison that's much stronger than his own, but he doesn't know exactly who the man is. Ren asks if this is suicidal, and says that the man can still retaliate after taking a hit from him. He says that this man is pushing his power to the limit, and Ren has to kill him.
