In this short scene, we learn that the god of death is testing his powers of law in order to determine whether or not he can defeat the Master. He tells the Master that if he kneels before him and asks for mercy, he will give him an easy death. He then tells him that he wants to torture him bit by bit, and that after he has absorbed all of the demi-gods and restored his physical body, he and the Master will both regret their lives in the afterlife.
