The chapter opens with a flashback to the events of the previous chapter, in which vampiric youth returns to the prison. He tells his father that he wishes he could stay in the prison, even if it were cold and dark. He also tells him that the ten thousand demon-beast array has been completed, and that he can now forgive brat nie-li for all of his wrongs. He then goes on to say that he has sent out people to search for brat, but there has been no sign of him.
